Vintage

Spring 2003, produced in the core tea region of Menghai, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan.

Craftsmanship

Inherits the core artificial pile-fermentation craftsmanship for ripe tea developed in 1973. Through 23 years of aging, it has achieved a cross-century elevation of its internal substances.

Sensory profile

Prominent ginseng aroma that remains rich through repeated steepings; fine, sweet, soft, and glutinous flavor; translucent wine-red liquor color with exceptional cup-clinging fragrance and thick pectin texture.

SENSORY JOURNEY

Dry Leaf Appearance

Round and neat disc shape with bold, tight tea strands displaying golden tips. Dark green hue with brownish tones, showing the warm, glossy luster typical of dry-stored aged tea.

Liquor Color

Translucent wine-red liquor color, transitioning from wine-red to chestnut-red across infusions. Prominent golden ring with high clarity, free from darkness or cloudiness.

Brewing Charm

Infusions 1–3: Aged fragrance initially emerges with immediate sweetness upon entry. Infusions 4–6: Intermingled orchid-honey sweetness and ginseng notes, full-bodied and smooth. Infusions 7–12: Warm woody aroma with a surging sweet aftertaste.

Wet Leaf Appearance

Wet leaves show an even reddish-brown hue, remaining thick, supple, and active, demonstrating the strong wild nature of large-leaf arbor raw materials.

建议水量

Using a 450 ml teapot, pour in boiling water and steep at high temperature for 60 seconds. Water should be poured gently and low throughout, and ensure the teapot is drained completely to prevent bitterness.
Storage Essentials:Recommended to store in ceramic or Yixing clay jars placed in a cool, dry area (20–30°C, Humidity <80%), protected from light, well-ventilated, and free from odors.
Health Benefits: Rich in tea polyphenols and catechins, with antioxidant activity 30% higher than green tea. Helps soothe and protect the stomach, regulate cholesterol, and relax nerves to aid sleep.
Friendly Reminder: Puerh tea contains caffeine and tannic acid. Pregnant women, individuals with severe insomnia, gastric ulcers, or iron-deficiency anemia should limit consumption. Best enjoyed 30 minutes after meals.
Quality Assessment: Normal aged tea carries a unique aged fragrance; if mold (white spots), sourness, or a dark, murky liquor color appears, it is determined to be spoiled.
